Saturday the 11th July saw the Gala at Weeton take place, another of our favourite summer jobs, the good people of the village of Weeton Nr Preston were out in force, blessed with one of the hottest days we have had this year made both Ice Cream and Beers sales excel. The band once again led the procession with a selection of rousing marches, followed by a short concert on the village hall green.
Plenty of fun was had on the day, including thanking the outgoing Gala queen and the incoming one crowned, Fancy dress awards followed by Maypole dancing and kids sport all made for a memorable day.
